Compleat Angler Melbourne, situated in the heritage listed
Tavistock House is the traditional heartland of the Compleat Angler group and home to founder Jim Allen. Situated on the second floor, the store is set amongst beautiful timber fittings that match the warmth of the building as a whole. We continue to forge the traditions that has made Compleat Angler a household name amongst serious anglers the world over. Cutting edge tackle from around the world, a vast range of stock, great service, knowledgeable staff with hands on experience and great prices. The Melbourne staff have experience in all aspects of fishing covering everything from tournament winning techniques for the Bream fanatic to the ins and outs of chasing the world’s biggest gamefish. That experience has seen us hold world records, host TV and radio shows, win tournaments, contribute to national magazines as well being representatives to the IGFA. That said we are as excited about showing a newcomer how to thread a prawn on a hook as we are gearing up a travelling angler on a once in a lifetime trip.

Experience the difference!

With the school holidays about to end we're about to hit one of the best times of year to fish. Less pressure on the water and beautiful fishing weather conditions combine to make it a joy to wet a line.

Great fishing still to be had in the bay. Whiting starting to fire, still solid snapper to be caught and we are just starting to get kingy reports in. The trout fishing has been awesome and most FW anglers are saying they've never seen better Redfin fishing.
