FISHING REPORT 9/12/08 Hi everyone ,well another week of action on the water, starting over at FARM BEACH where the whiting have been going pretty well there are some nice big fish up around FRENCHMANS in those deeper holes along with Gar and plenty of Trevally. Over in front of the SANDHILLS the whiting are smaller but there are still plenty there, you will need to measure most fish, again there are some huge Gar & Trevally over this way. Some reports of King Fish around Black Springs are also filtering through. Inside COFFIN BAY, well I left you alone last report but word is out and there have been plenty of Snapper caught throughout the system with some fish around that 12 kilo mark, there are Gar and a few Whiting & Trevally being caught along the ledge. Gunya and Almonta have both had some big schools of salmon around the 2-3 kilo mark making an appearance generally late in the day or early morning. Inside Proper Bay Whiting are still coming from along the national park side with some big Gar, Squid and Snook amongst them I also heard of some Snapper being caught not far from Grantham Island. A few Whiting are still being caught from the Town Jetty and Brennan’s Wharf, Squid, Gar, Trevally, and Snook are also around the place. Similar story along the North Shore and there are still some huge Whiting up the top end around North Shields. Before I go I have an interesting shot of a local tackle shop owner who isn’t content to sell reels during the day ,he actually caught one of his shops exclusive reels in 30 meters of water ,so if he offers you a deal on a second hand pro-touch reel this week ,I would look closely before you buy . That’s it for now see you next week.
